Welcome to my blog! I am a retired educator currently living in Florida. My husband and I have raised three children and each of them has three children. Yes, that is nine amazing grandchildren, and one wonderful great-grandson.

We have lived all around the US and in Baja California, Mexico. Some of my grandchildren refer to me as the Gypsy Grandma, and others tease me that I am a witch. I think of myself as a former Hippy and an avid herbalist.

My hubby and I are enthusiastic travelers. We like to visit places all around the world and to see not only their famous attractions but also the off-the-tourist-tract areas. One of our favorite things to do when visiting a country is to board the community transportation and see the local culture. We have had some great adventures doing just that!

To enable our travel addiction on our fixed retirement income, we live a simple and frugal lifestyle. We are do-it-yourselfers and are fearless when it comes to redoing our manufactured home. I love growing our own food, cooking at home, and canning. As an Herbalist, I love concocting herbal remedies and body care items. I also enjoy sewing and am always challenging myself to attempt something new.

Come along with me to see what this old Hippy is up to lately.
