Some Interesting Things About Santorini
Mr. M and I have been to the island of Santorini, Greece twice. How we love it there! For such a small island, there is so much to see there! Even getting to the town of Fira, Santorini is an adventure! When approaching Santorini by boat one docks at the base of a mountain. The town of Fira is perched at the top of the mountain. There are basically two ways to go up the mountain. First there is the funicular which is like a slanted, vertical glass elevator. Its has fantastic views and is pretty slow.

A Fascinating Little Town In Spain
In our travels, Mr. M and I visited the lovely and amazing town of Ronda, in the Spanish province of Malaga. It is an ancient village high in the mountains that is divided into two parts by a river in a deep ravine, called El Tajo Gorge.

My Visit to Jaffa
Last fall. Mr. M and I were so very fortunate to visit Israel during a relatively peaceful period. One of our stops was in Tel Aviv, a busy and exciting modern city. Just on the outskirts is a small area called Jaffa, an ancient city with evidence that it was inhabited as early as 7500 BCE. It was late in the day by the time we got there, a lovely time to visit, but not so good for photography. Still I have a few decent photos to share. This is an excavation of Roman ruins. Jaffa was a port at the time of the Romans.
